Even though senior year has just begun, it has been an amazing road to success. My senior year has been really exciting by experiencing; a new school and new environment. I have transferred from Everest Public High School In Redwood City, California to Lindsay High School In Lindsay, California. I have made the transfer to Lindsay High School to succeed in life and get the support I need from my boyfriend that keeps pushing me to achieve my goals each and everyday. I have moved to a new environment from living in the city since I was born, to transferring to central california. In San Francisco, the weather was always windy and cold, with partial heat during the spring and summer time. While in the central valley, the weather is incredibly hot and humid in the summer and fall.
In my senior year, so far I am doing incredibly well by getting use to the classrooms, and teachers that are very well organized and helpful while assisting their students. The teachers do their best each and everyday to help their students accomplish their goals for college and in the future. From transferring from my high school back in northern California to my current high school in central California, I have completed the classes that I had to take in order to receive a Lindsay High School diploma track and stay on the University track. The classes that I needed in order to stay on track are: English 9p, English 10p, English 11p, Algebra 1p. Geometry, Algebra 2p, Physical Earth Science, Biology, Chemistry, World History, US History, and PE 2. The classes that I still need to take in order to graduate are: my elective classes, Government Economics, English 12, and spanish. Therefore I am on pace to graduate at Lindsay High School.
For my senior project, I am currently working on my Journals in English 12. I am creating my career path to go to Los Angeles City College in Los Angeles, CA and then I want to go to UC Los Angeles to be a psychologist. The most exciting thing that I am going to experience in finishing my senior project is job shadowing at a psychology center. I am most excited to job shadow at a Psychology center because it will give me the opportunity I need to succeed in being a psychologist.
What I am most looking forward to in my senior year is the college application process and the experiences that I will be experiencing at a big high school: such as the campus, big classrooms, desks, football games, teachers, and the cafeteria. My short term goals for this year are to pass all my classes, graduate, and save up money to rent an apartment here in Lindsay and work part time. My long term goals for the future are to go to Los Angeles City College for two years, and then transfer to UC Los Angeles for four years to get my degree in psychology.
